RE: National Skills Instructor Level 1 Clinic

The National Skills Instructor Program is a program that provides interested participants with the skills to teach the skills of Ringette - from passing to shooting to strategy. With the skills obtained at a Level 1 clinic, the participants have the tools needed to become instructors at the various Ringette schools and camps throughout the province.

With this in mind, the Greater Vernon Ringette Association is hosting a Level 1 NSIP Clinic on August 15, 1999. The clinic, which costs $50.00 per participant, is open to anyone 14 years of age and older with a basic knowledge of the sport. The clinic starts at 9:00 am and goes until 6:00 pm with 3 hours of ice time, so participants are required to bring skates, helmet, stick and gloves.

This program is geared towards producing instructors but is available to anyone interested in learning about the technical skills of the game.

To register for the clinic, interested parties are to contact Don Robbie at (250) 542-2680. This clinic is good for those players wishing to become instructors at the various camps. If you have any questions regarding the clinic, please feel free to contact me at (604) 857-0953.
